Acrylics & Golden Leaf
Step into a world of enchantment at our art workshop, where you’ll paint a “magic” swan gliding gracefully near a cascading waterfall using acrylics and shimmering gold leaf.
In this immersive session, you’ll begin by sketching the elegant swan, its feathers glowing with an ethereal charm, set against the dynamic backdrop of a tumbling waterfall framed by lush, misty scenery.
With acrylics, you’ll layer vibrant blues and greens to capture the water’s movement and depth, blending soft whites and silvers for the swan’s mystical aura. Then, elevate your piece with delicate touches of gold leaf—perhaps adorning the swan’s wings or highlighting the sparkling mist—adding a luxurious, magical glow.
Perfect for all skill levels, this workshop guides you through techniques in acrylic blending, composition, and mixed-media application, leaving you with a stunning, otherworldly artwork that radiates beauty and wonder. Unleash your imagination and let the magic flow!
What you will learn:
- Acrylic Layering: Build depth by applying multiple layers of acrylic paint, starting with broad washes for the waterfall and background, then adding finer details to the swan and scenery.
- Wet-on-Wet Blending: Create smooth transitions in the water and swan’s feathers by blending colors like blues, greens, and whites directly on the canvas while the paint is still wet.
- Dry Brush Technique: Add texture to the waterfall’s mist and the swan’s delicate feathers using a dry brush to lightly drag paint, enhancing the ethereal effect.
- Gold Leaf Application: Master the art of adhering gold leaf with precision, using adhesive and soft brushes to apply it to the swan’s wings or misty highlights without tearing.
- Color Gradation: Achieve a natural flow in the waterfall, mountains and sky by gradually shifting from dark to light tones, creating a sense of movement and light.
- Composition Balance: Learn to arrange elements like the swan, misty mountains, waterfall, and gold accents harmoniously, ensuring the focal points draw the eye effectively.
- Mixed-Media Integration: Combine structure paste, acrylics with gold leaf seamlessly, understanding how to prep surfaces and layer materials for a cohesive, magical finish.
★No Prior Painting Experience Necessary. If it’s your very first time painting, you might wanna calculate a bit more time to finish the painting. Also, we recommend to skip a detail or two and/or call for assistance when you need!
★Step by Step Instructions, but you are always welcome to paint something else!
★1 canvas (40x50cm) and all Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price
★Medium: Premium alcohol ink and resin materials .

★Duration of the Event: ca 3hrs
★Important: For optimal drying process and avoiding any changes to your painting, we recommend that you leave your artwork in the studio at least overnight and arrange a pick-up time or book our shipping service after the session (up to 40x50cm canvas size, shipping of larger sizes upon request).
