*This class is for female leaders who have taken my leading ladies classes, or can successfully dance in milongas as a leader.*
I think one of the best ideas to explain good leading is "eliminating all other options except what I want" I say it in this way, because it's not just enough to lead a step, but to build a container around it-to close off other possibilities that often create hesitation or ambiguity for the follower. This is leadership at its finest.
One of the thresholds of better leading is building structure. Often a challenge when we switch roles is not understanding some simple yet effective leading codes. In the class, you'll learn how I use the body differently in following and in leading-like impulse, balance, strength, and lines.
As always, these courses are designed to give you what you need to dance well on a dance floor: musicality, connection, and crowded dance floor ready.
FORMAT:
7:30-8:30pm: Class
8:30-9pm: Open dancing / mini practica to work on whatever you want. :)
BYO Follower: feel free to bring someone that wants to work with you solely as a follower, they come as your guest. :)
