Join MV Community Care and the MV Freedom Fighters Monday November 24 at 6:30pm for a free, inclusive, and comprehensive conversation and planning of emergency preparedness kits, aka "Bug Out Bags."
A free vegan meal will be provided. Gas cards available to those in need.
In this session we will we’ll go over the basics of an emergency preparedness kit one can grab on the go - aka a “bug out bag.”
We'll look at the history of "prepping" and discuss progressive and left visions of what emergency preparedness is and could be. In addition to likely materials, we’ll discuss the kinds of information and resources that are most commonly needed in a natural or human made disaster, and how radical interdependence fits into your survival strategies.
WHAT IS COMMUNITY CARE?
We know that our ability to survive and thrive is based on radical acts of interdependence. Through monthly workshops and talks, we will build skills and knowledges that will make our communities safer and stronger. We seek to share these things in an inclusive, safe, non-judgemental, voluntary space where all are free to learn and share together.
