Sakura Matsuri ~ Cherry Blossom Festival

Our annual Cherry Blossom Festival (Sakura Matsuri in Japanese) is a day to celebrate the arrival of Spring and Japanese Culture.

Workshops commence from 9.30AM and our performers take to the stage at 10AM.
Our Festival showcases Japanese culture through a range of activities and demonstrations with Taiko drummers, Kimono Fashion Parade, Judo and Sumo demonstrations, Japanese archery origami, martial arts, terrariums dancers, Sakura choir, kintsugi, ikebana, tea ceremonies and MORE!
There will be activities for children throughout the day. It is a day for families and individuals of all ages to enjoy.

The Garden is usually a dog-friendly environment, but Sakura Matsuri is our busiest day of the year and we are expecting considerable levels of noise and people of all ages. So for the safety of our visitors we will not allow dogs into the garden during this event.

Food stalls in the Garden will be offering a fusion of Japanese and Australian to please everyone's tastebuds.
