Most yoga practitioners begin with hatha yoga or the physical practice. These classes can have some breathing practices (pranayama) and relaxation or meditation practices sprinkled in, but there's a lot more to yoga. In fact, yoga consists of 8 limbs or 6 branches where the hatha or physical practice/poses is just one limb or branch. Deepening your practice can add health benefits.
This 7-session workshop series will offer breathing and meditation practices along with an exploration of the other aspects of yoga, including a focus on the Yoga Sutras or guiding principles of yoga. Participants will be encouraged to add to their regular practice and journal or log their activities.
It is encouraged to attend the workshop in person, but will be is available via live-stream for accessibility. This workshop will be co-facilitated with Lee and Evan.
This workshop is accessible to all as a chair or other props may be utilized.
