We welcome all riders to join us for one or all of our Push Social Rides, which are a great way to familiarise yourself with parts of the Push course. Attendance is free, but we ask that you register using the below booking system.
When: 21 & 22 June 2025
Where: meeting point is the Ted Furber Memorial Park aka the Cricket Grounds in Hidden Valley. This is the finish line for the Paluma Push as well as the After Party and camping location for the event. Please note, this is private property and the trails are not accessible outside of the social rides and the Paluma Push race day. Please respect these restrictions in order for the event to have a long-lasting and positive relationship with the property owners.
Ride Description:
Saturday: We are leaving the Cricket Grounds at 3pm on Saturday afternoon and we will ride out to the Grave Yards Loop and return via CP6, crossing Running River (your feet will get wet). Approximately 20km return.
Sunday: There will be two options. One group will leave the Cricket grounds at 9am in the morning and we are heading out to ride the Jacobsen's Loop section of the 70km and 100km course. Approx. 30km. The other group will explore the Hidden Valley trails on an easier and shorter ride.
If you would like to camp at the Hidden Valley Cricket Grounds on Saturday night, a $10 donation will be collected that night. This goes to the local Rural Fire Brigade to help with the maintenance of the facilities.
Please ensure to follow the below instructions in order for the social ride to run smoothly so everyone can have a great ride.
- Arrive with plenty of time to get yourself ready to ride. The group will leave at the advertised time
- Please be adequately prepared, this includes:
- to have a well functioning mountain bike suited for the terrain
- choose a social ride suited to your fitness and skill level. Get in touch with us if you have any questions
- you must carry your own spare equipment, such as spare tubes, bike pump, puncture repair kit, multi tool, chain link
- bring your own (basic) first aid kit
- please bring water and nutrition, we will be riding for a few hours for each of the rides
- wear appropriate protection, a helmet (compliant with AUS/NZ standards) is mandatory, other PPE is optional
- you participate at your own risk
- If you would like to camp in Hidden Valley on the Saturday night, please bring $10 cash, which will be collected by the local Fire Brigade as a donation to go towards the maintenace of the facilities.
- Hidden Valley has showers, toilets and a big undercover area
- Please bring your own drinking water, food and cooking facilities
- There is no phone reception at Hidden Valley
