Perkins House Museum

Chef Mary Dumont and OITF founder Jim Denevan go way back. Mary used to wait tables at Gabriella Cafe in Santa Cruz when Jim helmed the kitchen there, and OITF was just a gleam in his eye. One day, Mary said, "I really would like to become a chef." Since that confession to Jim, Mary has gone on to realize great acclaim in the culinary world, working in storied San Francisco restaurants before returning home to make her mark in New England. This summer, Mary and Jim reunite in coastal Maine on the grounds of the historic Perkins House Museum, once home to ferrymen and sea captains. Lady Oyster will kick things off with a spread of Maine oysters before we sit down for Chef Mary’s meal.
