Earth Song- Soon Amore summer concert 2025

A diverse and interesting programme of choral music awaits you, mostly 'a cappella', but with a little piano accompaniment here and there and a few pieces of poetry too. Our concert theme 'Earth Song' is a reflection on the current fragility of nature and the environment, despite both being a central part of all our lives. Through pieces about birds, animals, trees, rivers and lakes and wind and rain, we will see how composers and songwriters through the ages have drawn inspiration from the natural world and expressed our deep connection to it, our wish for it to endure and our duty to protect it. At this concert, we are delighted to be performing several pieces written by local composers as well as two new pieces written by members of the choir
