August First Friday in Royal Square

Come celebrate First Friday with us! We have all kinds of fun things planned for you (see below), so come out and join us!
- FIREFLY NIGHT MARKET from 5-9pm! In addition to our many art galleries and merchants, you can also visit multiple vendor booths featuring art, hand-crafted items and more outside on the 100 block of King St, between Duke & Queen Streets!
- CREATIVES ON KING - 6-8PM. Build your own candelabra with your choice of vintage candelabras and gourd jacks to celebrate less than 100 days to Halloween! Jessica Lee’s solo show will be in the upper room gallery for one final weekend, and you can still shop deals from the Starving Artist Sidewalk sale!
- CASTA CIGARS - Info pending.
- GLASS TURTLE STUDIO - Open 12-9. "Phases: A Progression of Artworks by Suzanne Rende." This exhibit showcases some of the different phases into which Suzanne's art has progressed. It includes 40 paintings from the last eight years.
- HIVE artspace - Open 5-9pm. Join us for the opening of “Lore” - an exhibit exploring the stories we tell, from age-old fables to modern mythologies, tall tales and legends, myths and folk stories, humorous anecdotes, urban legends and contemporary folklore. The exhibit features over 85 works by 40+ artists.

- JOSH JOHNSON CREATIVE STUDIO - Open 6-10. Plant Portrait Group Show continues.
- KING'S COURTYARD - Open 5-9pm. As our King of Spades sign may suggest a playing card game, our gallery has a Full House! As our guest, you will experience a Spirit of Excitement while you explore the artwork of our 22 members! Elliz will help you create a "Wish Bottle" during your visit.
- NOEL'S ROCK SHOP - Open 6-8. NEW ITEM: Josey Straps are IN! Unique, bold designs and meticulously crafted quality created in small batches in the US. Also: Guitars, amplifiers, effects pedals, and accessories are all available at Noel's Rock Shop.
- OMG STUDIOS - Open 5-9. See works by Carol Oldenburg.
- PCAD YORK - Annalisa Gojmerac’s Exhibition “Collective Inheritance” will be open at PCAD York from 5-9 pm through the Work/Space program.
- ROAMING ROAST - Pending info.
- VENTURE - Open 5-9. Opening of À Bientôt! (See you soon!) A look at the art of Susan, Karen, and JoAnne and a celebration of their 7 years together. Come celebrate with us.
- ALLEYS - 5pm-12am. Happy Hour from 5-7 with 1/2 price beers & well drinks, $5 margaritas, and daily food specials. Late night DJ on Fridays. No cover charge.

- RSD MURAL PARK - Sprocket Mural Works is excited to offer guided mural tours of our York Mural Park every First Friday from May-October! See and learn about the over 30 murals located in the Royal Square Mural Park. Each tour will be approximately 1 hour. Meet outside at the Collusion Tap Works patio, then enjoy a free 5 oz taster beer at Collusion after the tour! Details at sprocketmuralworks.org

- LEVANT MEDITERRANEAN CUISINE - 11am-8pm. So delicious! Try the Mediterranean Platter for a taste of several items, and don't miss the baklava for dessert!
- COLLUSION TAP WORKS - Open noon-10pm. $20 Flatbread + Flights all day on Friday! Great bar food + 24 beers on tap.
- GRANFALLOONS TAVERN - Open 12-10pm+. Friday Night Special - Half-Price Backside of the Food Menu! American bar fare, wings, burgers, steak.
- WORLD GRILLS - Open 11am-8pm. Asian-fusion. Vegetarian / vegan options available.
- THE YORKTOWNE HOTEL - Continental cuisine with a twist from 5-10pm. The Rooftop Lounge is open 4-11, so come on out to the district for the main event from 5-9, then end the night enjoying some stellar views and a nightcap!
WHERE: The Royal Square District is located in downtown York, PA, in the area surrounded by King, Queen, Duke, and Princess streets. Get to the intersection of King & Duke & you are there.

Free parking is available on weekdays after 5:00pm and all day on weekends at the following locations:

- Corner lot of E. Newton Ave and S. Duke Street
- E. King Street and S. Queen Street Lot (directly across from The Bond)
- Collusion Tap Works Customers: Corner lot of S. Howard Street and E. Newton Avenue (directly behind the Bond)
- King Street Parking Garage & Market Street Parking Garage (each just 1 block away)
