This time we’re switching things up with a Saturday morning sunrise walk! There’s a bit of rain forecast over the weekend, but Saturday morning is looking like our best shot for clear skies…so we’re heading out early to (hopefully) catch a dry and dreamy start to the day.
Join us for a fun and energising walk up Kemp Hill (Bluff Point). A beautiful way to start your Saturday, no matter what you’ve got planned for the rest of the weekend.
We’ll make our way up to the summit to catch the sun rising over the ocean, soaking up the view and fresh air before heading back down. The track is a steady uphill incline but suitable for most fitness levels (including kids), with plenty of time to take it at your own pace.
Date & Time
– Saturday, 28 June
– Walk starts promptly at 6 AM
– Arrive from 5:45 AM to grab a parking spot and meet the group
Meeting Point
– Meet at the base carpark near Kemp Beach picnic area
– Toilets are available before we begin our walk
The Walk
– Roughly 20 - 30 minutes uphill to the top lookout
– We’ll pause to watch the sunrise from the summit
– Then return downhill at a relaxed pace; around 1.5 hours at the most
Pet Policy
– Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the Bluff Point walking track as it’s part of the national park
What to Bring
– Water bottle
– Activewear and comfy walking shoes
– Optional: a light jumper for the early chill
After the walk
Stick around for a chat after we return, or head somewhere for a coffee if you’re keen. Totally casual and non-committal, just come for whatever part feels good.
