BEING A FRIEND TO YOURSELF: A Self-Kindness Workshop for Dealing with Negative Self-Talk
“You can search the entire universe and not find a single being more worthy of love and compassion than yourself.”
– Inspired by the Buddha, Udana 5.1
“Our healing begins when we offer loving-kindness to the parts of ourselves, we have abandoned.”
– Adapted from teachings by Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach and Kristin Neff
“One who loves themselves will never harm another.”
Attributed to the Buddha in the Attention Revolution, B. Alan Wallace
While this workshop is designed with a focus on supporting those of us who experience negative or critical self-talk, it recognises that not everyone may relate to that language or be in that space right now. Even so, you may still find something here that speaks to you – whether it is a new perspective, a gentle reminder, or simply the comfort of being a reflective and supportive space with others.
Wherever you are on your journey you are welcome.
Free event. To register and an opportunity to connect with the facilitator ahead of time call Rhonda on 0429 940 472.
