Create a handcrafted charcuterie board and matching coaster set that’s as beautiful as it is functional! In this two-day woodworking workshop, participants will design and build a custom serving set from premium hardwoods. Choose from maple, walnut, cherry, and striking purpleheart—or combine several for a unique, multi-toned look that reflects your personal style.
The workshop will cover essential topics such as wood selection, board design and aesthetics, and material preparation. You’ll also get hands-on experience with key shop tools like the planer, jointer, and table saw, gaining practical knowledge that builds confidence in the woodshop.
During the first session, you’ll select and prepare your wood, learning how to mill, cut, and glue up your boards. We’ll cover techniques for sanding, rounding edges, and adding personalized details like handles or decorative accents. In the second session, you’ll focus on final shaping, surface finishing, and applying a food-safe oil to bring out the wood’s natural beauty and ensure long-lasting protection.
This class is perfect for beginner to intermediate makers who want to build confidence in the woodshop while creating something both practical and stylish. You’ll leave with a stunning charcuterie board and coaster set—crafted by hand and ready to impress at your next gathering.
