📌 NAFA Trophy Shoot (Paper Shoot)
🏹 What is it?
A fun and challenging event where archers test their skills on 20 unmarked vinyl photo targets, using the same scoring zones as 3D targets. Each round is one arrow per target – making every shot count!
🎯 Awards
First, second, and third badges will be awarded in each division. Track your progress and display your achievements on our upcoming badge plaques!
📋 Registration
- Mandatory: Register before 8:15 AM. Shooting begins at 8:30 AM sharp.
- Registration is separate from Guest track (required for everyone on club grounds).
- Sign-up sheets are available at the canteen.
👥 Teams
- Teams of ~5 archers will be assigned. Families stay together, and new members are paired with experienced archers.
- Each team will start at a designated target and assist with collecting/returning targets to Shane Dodge, the Paper Range Captain.
🚦 Start
- Wait at your team’s assigned start point until all archers are in position.
- Listen for the horn blast to begin.
🔄 Shooting & Scoring
- Order: Furthest peg shoots first, closest peg last.
- Targets: Vinyl animal images, 20 targets per course.
- Round 1: Scored on 5, 8, 10, 11 zones.
- Round 2: Scored on 5, 8, 10, 12, 14 zones.
- Touching a scoring line counts as the higher score.
- Ensure scorecards are clear and correct – top scores will be posted on Facebook!
🥪 Lunch Break
- Take a break between rounds! Bring your own food or support the club by ordering lunch when you register. Cold drinks and EFTPOS available.
🏆 After the Shoot
- Scorecards will be tallied by Ben Kranz, our Shoot Director/Score Recorder.
- Badges awarded to top archers in all divisions!
