Are you seeking a way to reduce stress? Do your children need to unwind as they prepare for the new school year? Discover the transformative power of meditation! Join William Smith, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, for two enlightening meditation sessions on Thursday, August 14, at the Yankton Community Library.
At 2:00 PM, immerse yourself in "Meditation for Families," a session tailored for children, teens, and caregivers wanting to promote a sense of calm and tranquility. Then, at 6:00 PM, adults are invited to Smith's second session, “Reducing Stress Through Meditation.” Here, he will discuss the benefits of meditation, including its ability to alleviate stress and enhance concentration, empowering you to face the challenges of daily life.
These sessions are open to all, with no registration or prior attendance required. If you require any accommodations to fully participate in this event, please don’t hesitate to contact the library.
William Smith brings a wealth of experience to his teaching, holding a master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of South Carolina. With an enduring passion for meditation, he has devoted his time since retiring to volunteerism and nationwide travel, imparting the art of meditation to both children and adults.
