Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Who is the facilitator of this event?
Nelson Eulalio, the Wild & Wise Tribe founder, holistic counselor and qualified outdoor education facilitator. More about Nelson here:

What should my teen bring?
Please make sure that your child is wearing enclosed shoes, sun-smart clothes (and sunscreen), a hat and bring a water bottle. If there is a chance of rain, please also bring a rain jacket.
Is it a theoretical or practical workshop?
Mostly practical but there will be also theoretical delivery on a whiteboard, so a notebook and pen are very beneficial for your child to bring. It is also a way to create a healthy habit of journaling experiences in nature, reflections, etc.
Do parents stay or is it a drop off event?
It is a daily drop-off event. Parents are welcome and supported to attend in the last 1.5hr of the last day of the course when they will do the their graduation, certrificates and we’ll share some food together.
What time should I drop my teen off?
8:15am is the check-in for a 8:30am start. Parents are welcome to stay over for the first block of the session (the introduction) as well as to come earlier and participate in the last block (conclusion).
What about if I have a neurodiverse child? Is the workshop suitable?
Although Wild & Wise Tribe welcome creative and wild minds, please understand that if your child has formal neurodiversity diagnosis and/or has behaviour special needs, an adult/responsible person must be present with them to help the facilitation of the structured sessions.
What if it is raining?
The workshop will run even if it is a rainy day. That is part of the outdoor education life and especially for survival skills and building resilience :) We have a few areas undercover in any case. The only reason to pause/cancel an outdoor workshop is due to a lightning storm within 30km.
Is there parking onsite?
The property has very limited car parking spots so we'll all be meet on the main road where a Google Maps pin will be sent by email. That has plenty of space to park. From there we'll walk just about 40-50m. There are plenty of nice coffeeshops in Yandina for parents who want to stay over in town.
What is the "holisitic" and "spiritual" side of the program? Is that religious?
No. It is a mindful side, spiritually oriented, which means exploring aspects other than materialism. That includes subjects of the unconscious mind, archetypes and subtle communication that happens everywhere all the time, but most of us aren't aware of.
