Who Are We?

The Student Association of Military Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (SAMOPS) at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences is our military medicine club, which is home to Health Professions Scholarships Program (HPSP) students who will one day provide medical care to the people serving our country.

About The PNWU Warrior Run

Join PNWU SAMOPS for the PNWU Warrior Run! Challenge yourself and your friends with this 5k obstacle course run through PNWU campus grounds. Expect to get dirty and have a lot of fun! We are also partnering with the Pediatrics club to bring a Little Warriors Warrior Run! This fun run for kids is a great opportunity for them to get down and dirty while they take on a modified course at PNWU. Bring your kids and watch them become little warriors! The race is a fun way to get out and be active with your friends and family, all while supporting a great organization, Friends of Fisher House Puget Sound. https://www.fisherhousevaps.org/

This event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Check-in is at 8:00 am. The first heat will begin at 8:30 am.

There is a suggested donation of $15, but this is optional, so feel free to pay whatever you can!

PARTICIPATION LIABILITY WAIVER:

2025 Warrior Run Participant Waiver

In consideration of acceptance of this entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf assume all risk of injury, harm or damage to myself or others arising from my participation in this event, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless any sponsor(s), their agents or assigns, Pacific Northwest University of Health and Sciences (PNWU), its officers, directors, members, agents and volunteers, the Town of Yakima, Washington, any and all sponsors affiliated with the Warrior Run event, and any and all persons or entities associated with this event, against any liability, actions, claims and damages of any kind whatsoever arising from my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons and/or entities named in this waiver. I attest and verify that I am physically fit, and have sufficiently trained for completion of the event and have full knowledge as to all the foregoing. I assume all risks associated with running in this event including, but not limited to: falls, injury on obstacles or the land the race is on, involving rocks, mud, water, hay, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including high heat, extreme cold, and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.

I understand that weapons, sharp objects, bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, animals, and music headsets are not allowed in the event and I will abide by this guideline.

I grant to Pacific Northwest University ("Photographer") the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission concerning any photographs that they have taken or may take of me or in which I may be included with others, to use, reuse, publish, and republish the photographs in whole or in part, individually or in connection with other material, in any and all media now or hereafter known, including the internet, and for any purpose whatsoever, specifically including illustration, promotion, art, editorial, advertising, and trade, without restriction as to alteration; and to use my name in connection with any use if they choose. I release and discharge Photographer from any and all claims and demands that may arise out of or in connection with the use of the photographs, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or violation of any right of publicity or privacy. This authorization and release shall also inure to the benefit of the heirs, legal representatives, licensees, and assigns of Photographer, as well as the person(s) for whom they took the photographs.

I am a legally competent adult and have the right to contract in my own name or if I am under eighteen years of age, my parent-guardian must indicate that I have read this document and fully understand its contents. This release shall be binding upon me and my heirs, legal representatives, and assigns.
