Between the Ridges: Alliance for the Common Good invites you:
MEDICAID CUTS AFFECT US ALL:
HOW FEDERAL CUTS TO MEDICAID WILL IMPACT THE YAKIMA VALLEY
Washington's Medicaid program - Apple Health - provides health coverage for children, ag workers, veterans, seniors and people with disabilities. It also pays for care at our clinics and hospitals and keeps families healthy and working.
Congressional lawmakers recently passed a budget which will cut or eliminate healthcare for 300,000 people - or 38% of all residents living in Central Washington - which represents our state's highest Medicaid enrollment. Please join us and a local panel of experts to learn about how cuts will impact all of us who live and work in the Yakima Valley.
PANELISTS:
Representatives from YAKIMA VALLEY FARMWORKERS CLINIC, SUNNYSIDE ASTRIA HOSPITAL, HOPEBRIDGE HOME HEALTH, GOOD SAMARITAN HEALTHCARE CENTER, ENTRUST COMMUNITY SERVICE, SOUTH CENTRAL WORKFORCE, RURAL AMERICANS UNITED, and others will share perspectives on the impending changes, answer your questions and discuss what we can do next.
