Achieving Success - Foos in Medicine

Join YVC's STEM program for an evening with the duo from Foos in Medicine, Irvin Garcia Real and Alexis Ivan Aleman for a talk on achieving success. Talk begins at 7 p.m. in the Kaminski Conference Center.

If you are pursuing a career in medicine or wishing for some inspiration, these two are a must see. Garcia Real and Aleman understand the struggle of low-income, first-generation STEM students. They lift up an audience and surely make you laugh.

Founded by Garcia Real and Aleman, Foos in Medicine, inspires people from disadvantage backgrounds to pursue their dreams. Both are first generation college graduates and will soon be the first doctors in their family. Growing up in low income and immigrant households, Garcia Real and Aleman want to share their journey through this system that wasn't built for them and bring others up along their way.
