Safe Sitter® Babysitting Course
Tuesday, August 12 | 10:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Registration and $30 student fee due by August 11
Ready to build confidence and prepare for future babysitting jobs or after-school opportunities? Safe Sitter® is designed to prepare students in grades 6 through 8 (older teens are welcome too!) to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.
This instructor-led class includes fun games and role-playing exercises, and teaches not only safe child care practices, but also important life and business skills. Topics include managing behavior, preventing unsafe situations, handling emergencies, diapering basics, and choking rescue/CPR skills for infants and children.*
The $30 fee covers instruction and all take-home materials, including a Safe Sitter® Handbook and Important Information Notepad.
👉 Thanks to support from the Wyoming Public Library, the full cost of this course has been partially subsidized to make it more affordable for participants!
Students should bring a sack lunch. Refrigeration will be available on site.
