Mana Akitanga pochodzi z Polinezji, urodził się na świętej wyspie Ra’iatea, legendarnej Havai’i Nui. Jego rodzina wywodzi się z ostatniego klanu/plemienia, które stawiło opór kolonizatorom na wyspach Raromata’i (Polinezja Francuska) oraz w Aotearoa (Nowa Zelandia). Zgodnie z tradycjami, dorastając u boku dziadków, poznał historię swoich przodków, ich kulturę i obyczaje, pieczołowicie chroniąc opowieści i legendy Polinezji przekazywane mu w dzieciństwie przez starszyznę. Celem Many jest dzielenie się autentyczną kulturą polinezyjską.
Hinatea urodziła się we Francji i posiada tahitańskie korzenie ze strony ojca. Jej imię wiąże się ze starożytną polinezyjską Boginią Księżyca – Hiną. Głośne wezwanie polinezyjskich korzeni przyciągnęło ją z powrotem do rodzinnej tradycji, dzięki czemu została nauczycielką Ori Tahiti (tradycyjnego tańca tahitańskiego). Podczas pobytu w Europie i w Polinezji miała okazję całkowicie zanurzyć się w kulturze tahitańskiej, a także poznać inne kultury i tańce Pacyfiku, takie jak Hula Hawai’i czy Haka Māori.

Complete Polynesian Haka Ka Mate Practice – Workshop with Mana and Hina
Join this transformative experience during a Polynesian Haka Ka Mate workshop originating from the Ngati Toa Rangatira tribe — a powerful ritual of unity, courage, and strength led by Mana Akitanga and Hinatea, representatives of Polynesian tradition and spirituality.
This workshop offers the opportunity to connect with authentic anger- a source of energy and clarity that helps us set boundaries or make changes in our lives. By integrating anger as a natural part of ourselves, we shift from suppression and unconscious emotions to conscious management of our own power.

A story about haka:
My grandfather loved to tell the stories of the warriors of the Pacific and how fierce they were protecting their homes. One story that will stay in my mind for ever is the one in which his ancestors, my ancestors, performed a Haka to defend their lands along the Waikato River.
"At night, Mahina (the Moon) blessed the plains of our lands with her glow, through the dark forests, voices raised, women and men performing the ritual Haka, calling upon our ancestors to give us the strength and courage needed to preserve our "Iwi" (tribe), our "whenua" (land) for our "Tamariki" (children). Hands clapping on their thighs and chest, Feet stomping the land, their faces changed as they performed "Pūkana", their "mana" (power, spirit, energy) was spreading throughout nature. They were ready, our ancestors guiding them... There was obviously no chance they would win that battle and, they did not come back... Remember Mana, we celebrate the courage of our fighters, they did not return but they fought bravely for us"
About Mana:
Mana, comes from Polynesia, born on the sacred island of Ra’iatea, the legendary Havai’i Nui, and his family traces their lineage to the last clan/tribe standing against colonizers in the Raromata’i islands (French Polynesia) and Aotearoa (New Zealand). As the traditions oblige, he learnt about his ancestors, cultures, and traditions growing up with his grandparents, guarding dearly the stories and legends of Polynesia, told by his elders in his childhood.
Mana’s goal is to share the authentic Polynesian cultures.
About Hina:
Hinatea was born in France with Tahitian origins on her father's side. Her name is associated with the ancient Polynesian Goddess of the Moon, Hina. The call of her Polynesian roots was loud and drew her back to her heritage, so she became a teacher of Ori Tahiti (Tahitian traditional dance). During her stay in Europe and Polynesia, she had the opportunity to immerse herself in Tahitian culture, but also connect with other Pacific cultures and dances, such as the Hula Hawai’i and the Haka Māori.
This is a gentle reminder that Haka is sacred to Māori people. “Teaching” it when being non-Māori, with no Māori origins or not having the knowledge is disrespectful. Please, always seek for Polynesian, Māori, guidance.
