ABC (Arts/Borders/Communities) – The Alphabet of Love

Workshop with Astràgali Teatro artists

Theatre practitioners are invited to apply to join a three-day workshop with Fabio Tolledi and the artists of Italy-based Astràgali Teatro.

Participants will learn about the methods of Astràgali Teatro who create international and intercultural site-specific performance works in socially sensitive spaces around the world.

Participants will explore themes inspired by a selection of plays by Aristophanes and their anti-war message as well as their own site-specific stories. Co-creation will also include physical actions and choral singing which was vitally important in ancient Greek theatre.

The workshop will provide a platform for experimenting with theatrical form and sharing cultural and social experiences and it will open opportunities for future work that will take place in Wrocław Poland and internationally as part of the international project ABC (Arts/Borders/Communities): The Alphabet of Love in 2025–2027.

Participation in the workshop is free. We extend our invitation to both those who have theatre experience and to beginner practitioners interested in theatre work with a social conscience. The workshop will be held in English so at least basic English skills are required.

• a motivation letter.

• The organisers do not reimburse travel and accommodation expenses.
• The planned working hours (10 am – 1 pm and 2 pm – 6 pm) may be slightly modified depending on the needs of the group.
