Prepare to rock ’n’ roll with Wrexham’s most iconic bands live on stage with NEW Sinfonia

Beating kick-drum and beating conductor, bowed violin strings and strumming guitars - rock and roll as NEW Sinfonia take to the stage with Wrexham’s most iconic bands, for a unique show that truly encapsulates the sound of our city.

Joining the lineup are Declan Swans, Mooi, and Baby Brave whose tracks will be reimagined with a powerful and enhancing orchestral soundworld. Experience performances from the grassroots, heart-thumping home for spoken word - Voicebox Wxm, and raise your voice for a sing-along finale of Wrexham AFC’s greatest tunes like you’ve never heard them before.

The concert will take place in the heart of Wrexham at St Giles’ Church and will support Wrexham’s City of Culture 2029 bid.

Declan Swans

Mae Declan Swans yn fand comedi indie poblogaidd o Wrecsam sy'n adnabyddus am eu caneuon doniol, cymunedol am fywyd yn Wrecsam. Enillon nhw enwogrwydd byd-eang ar ôl ymddangos yn y rhaglen ddogfen 'Welcome to Wrexham', gyda'u hanthem "Always Sunny in Wrexham" yn dod yn rhan annatod o ddiwrnodau gêm AFC Wrecsam, a gwnaethant hyd yn oed agor ar gyfer Kings of Leon ar y Cae Ras. Maen nhw'n cael eu dathlu am eu hysbryd lleol, eu gwaith elusennol, a'u cefnogaeth gymunedol gyson.

Mae Baby Brave yn fand pop indie o Wrecsam, Gogledd Cymru. Mae eu sain yn eistedd rhywle rhwng Wolf Alice a Talking Heads – caneuon pop clasig gyda melodïau cofiadwy, rhythmau disgo, gitarau sy'n cynhyrfu'r dyfroedd a phalet sonig sy'n amrywio o donnau modern i'r byd punc. Derbyniodd y band gyllid BBC Gorwelion i recordio eu halbwm cyntaf, ‘Sugar To The Tongue’, wedi'i drefnu gan y cynhyrchydd o Gaerdydd, Charlie Francis (R.E.M, Robyn Hitchcock, Future Of The Left), a ddisgwylir ei ryddhau yn 2026 gydag Ode To Records. Cyrhaeddodd y sengl gyntaf oddi ar yr albwm ‘Cherry Tomato’ Rhestr-A BBC Radio Cymru.

Mooi

Mae'r ddeuawd cyfansoddi Mooi (Rachel Lloyd a Laura-Leigh Dickenson) o Wrecsam wedi bod yn canu gyda'i gilydd ers 1995, gan ennill enw da am eu harmonïau cyfoethog a'u caneuon cain a chrefftus. Gyda gitarau acwstig yn cyfeilio, mae eu cerddoriaeth yn drawiadol ac yn wastadol. Mae perfformiadau byw prin Mooi yn wledd i'r rhai sy'n gwerthfawrogi cerddoriaeth sy'n cynnal y galon a'r enaid.

Declan Swans

Declan Swans is a beloved comedy indie band from Wrexham known for their humorous, community-focused songs about Wrexham life. They gained global fame after appearing in the Welcome to Wrexham documentary, with their anthem "Always Sunny in Wrexham" becoming a Wrexham AFC matchday staple, and even opening for Kings of Leon at the Racecourse ground. They're celebrated for their local spirit, charity work, and heartwarming support for the community.

Baby Brave

Baby Brave are an indie pop band from Wrexham, North Wales. Their sound sits somewhere between Wolf Alice and Talking Heads – classic pop songs with soaring melodies, disco rhythms, gut wrenching guitars and a sonic palette that ranges from echo-laden new wave to distorted post-punk. The band received BBC Horizons Launchpad funding to record their debut album, ‘Sugar To The Tongue’, orchestrated by Cardiff-based producer Charlie Francis (R.E.M, Robyn Hitchcock, Future Of The Left), due for release in 2026 with Ode To Records. The first single off the album ‘Cherry Tomato’ made the BBC Radio Wales A-List.

Mooi

Song-writing duo Mooi (Rachel Lloyd & Laura-Leigh Dickenson) from Wrexham have been singing together since 1995, earning a reputation for their rich harmonies and beautifully crafted songs. Accompanied by acoustic guitars, their music is intimate and timeless. Mooi’s rare live performances are a treat for those who appreciate music that moves both heart and soul.
