This summer, we’re celebrating the playful childhoods of Philip and Simon Yorke, the last squires of Erddig, with a series of family-friendly activities inspired by their garden adventures. Dress up and take to the lawn to put on a performance, just as they once did. Afterwards, enjoy a selection of traditional garden games, including large dominoes, skittles, and badminton. It’s a wonderful opportunity to step back in time and experience the garden through the playful eyes of the children who once called Erddig home.
Step inside the late 17th Century house to discover 10 displays showcasing some of the Yorke's favourite pastimes, from ice skating to croquet. Can you find them all?
Activities are free, but normal admission charges apply. National Trust members and under 5s enter for free.
