Build deeper connections with your body through practices of Ayurveda and Yoga and get to know some calming and grounding practices to help you anchor in your body, as we start this workshop..

Discover ancient healing system of Ayurveda and its perspective on autumn - early winter known as Vata season. We will learn how to balance the qualities of Vata within us using simple tools like Ahar (diet), Vihar (lifestyle), Dinacharya (daily routine).

We will touch on basic principles of Ayurveda, what are 5 Great Elements, their corresponding 20 gurvadi gunas (qualities present in all nature) and Doshas - Vata, Pitta, Kapha (biological humorous)

We will explore the importance of Vata Dosha as well as some natural, sustainable ways to balance it and maintain health throughout ever changing, dynamic rhythms of nature

Discover winter routine (Rutacharya) and the qualities of Vata to better understand how to support your well being during this season

Explore some herbs and spices that will help to create more balance in your life - there will be some spiced fusions to taste

Hope this session will equip you with some useful, natural tools to promote your well being and harmony during this time of seasonal cycle

What to bring?
Please bring your yoga matt, as we'll be weaving asana practice to this session. I've got few spares to share if you don't have one so if that's the case, get in touch before the event. If you require an elevation for your hips while in meditation sitting pose, please bring with you extra cushioning too.
Most importantly come with curious and open mind :)

About facilitator:
I'm a visual artist - photographer - wild plant forager and Ayurvedic health practitioner. I love spending time outdoors, connecting with natural surroundings of animals, plants, trees and other organisms that co - create this beautiful web of life. Learning Ayurveda and Yoga has been helping me to develop better connection within myself and those around me, and live happily and peacefully with what is. A transition between seasons can be a great opportunity to better understand our connection to Nature. I'm happy that I can share with you some of these simple, yet very powerful ways of healthy, vibrant and balanced living.
