Minera Park Bus + optional "Walking with Trees" tour by Woodland Classroom

This is a FREE bus service from Ty Pawb in Wrexham's city centre to Minera Lead Mines and Country Park, one of Wrexham's beautiful country parks: https://maps.app.goo.gl/XG8ZpQJAyr9MjCpz5

Use this bus service to travel to Minera Lead Mines and Country Park to either enjoy a couple of hours in nature before the bus returns to Ty Pawb, OR join the "Walking With Trees" tour at Minera Lead Mines and Country Park, hosted by James from the Woodland Classroom (suitable for all ages): Facebook

Pease note you do not need to take this bus to attend the Walking with Trees tour. You are welcome to make your own way to the park for the tour.

Bus Times:

09:30am - leave Ty Pawb - meet at main reception on Market Street at 9.20am, ready to leave at 9.30am: ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/bNVAAmV3kMjoJTUM6)

12.30pm - Leave Minera Lead Mines and Country Park and return to Ty Pawb by 1pm

Walking With Trees tour information:

Minera Lead Mines and Country Park offers a fascinating glimpse into the industrial past of the beautiful Clywedog Valley.

As we walk around the park, James will share a wealth of fun facts about each tree species we see. This is a must for anyone with even the slightest interest in trees and will be sure to engage and inspire you!

The Walking With Trees tour will start at 10am, begining at the car park in Minera Lead Mines and Country Park. The walk will be slow paced and be mostly on woodland paths (not tarmac). It will last 2 hours, ending at 12pm back at the car park. There are toilet facilities at the park.

Information for enjoying a morning at the park:

Covering 53 acres of grassland, woodland and archaeological sites, Minera Country Park boasts a great variety of wildlife and endless opportunities to explore in peace and tranquillity.

The bus service and tree walk are completely free, paid for by the Local Places For Nature grant from Welsh Government to provide those without transport the opportunity to acess our country parks and provide educational talks on nature to the public. There are 14 seats available on the bus, please "purchase" a (free) ticket to confirm your place on the bus.
