Since 2011, Pete Ross & The Sapphire have toured across Europe releasing records through French label Beast Records and impressing audiences with their noir country-folk rock style. Having recently relocated to Sydney, the band are now enjoying playing to new audiences aided by some of the finest local musicians.
Their first long player ROLLIN DOWN THE LANE featured the single ‘Devil Inside’ and was well received by critics and fans alike, establishing them on the alternative rock/blues scene in France. Playing their own headline shows as well as festivals such as the Festival de Valence and the Binic Folk Blues Festival, gave the band great exposure.
Second album THE BOUNDLESS EXPANSE featured the 9-minute opener ‘The Alarm Has Sounded’ and set the tone for this conceptual album. ‘Have you Seen The Incubus?’ was featured on Germany’s esteemed rock magazine “Eclipsed” with the track added to their CD of the month.
On their 10th anniversary the band delivered fans a Live Album entitled LOST IN BRITTANY recorded at one of their very first shows in 2011. This recording shows a transition from the country swagger to the dark bluesy-folk sound that ensued.
