In true POP-UP style we invite you to join in celebrating The Sweetest Day!
Sweetest Day began in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1921. It started when a man named Herbert Birch Kingston, who worked for a candy company, wanted to bring happiness to people who were often forgotten—like orphans, the sick, and the poor. He and his friends handed out boxes of candy to show kindness and care.
Over time, the idea spread, and Sweetest Day became a day to express love and appreciation not just with candy, but with small acts of kindness, cards, and gifts.
Today, Sweetest Day is celebrated mostly in the Midwestern United States on the third Saturday in October, and it’s seen as a day to show thoughtfulness and “sweetness” to others—friends, family, or anyone who could use a smile.
Please help us celebrate by stopping by our POP-UP to grab a treat for you and a treat to drop off to someone else. Help us spread kindness throughout our community one sweet treat at a time!
