Welcome to Inspire and elevate your business ambition with Create South East! Join us on Tuesday 30 September 2025 at The Lecture Theatre, Worthing Library for a FREE lunch-time event filled with inspiration, networking, learning and lunch snacks. We'll hear from local seasoned creative entrepreneurs and those emerging from the Create South East business support programme with signposting to other local support organisations and initiatives. This event is for creatives at all stages - freelancers, micro-business owners and anyone looking for support to take their creative and or digital business to the next level.

Info: Arjo is a seasoned internet entrepreneur, investor, and non-executive director, recognised for his contributions to the evolution of digital marketing. He founded Spannerworks in 1997, establishing it as a pioneering agency at the forefront of search and digital marketing strategy.
A decade after its inception, Spannerworks was acquired by US-based iCrossing Inc., helping to form a leading independent global digital marketing agency with l revenues surpassing $130 million. This success led to the eventual sale of iCrossing to Hearst Corporation Inc. in 2010.
Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Arjo has dedicated himself to a range of commercial and philanthropic initiatives. He served as a board member at the University of Sussex (2008-2017) and has been an active angel investor since the early 2000s.
Arjo is the Chair of AudioActive, a Sussex- based charity that empowers young people through music, providing them with opportunities for creative expression and personal growth.
Info: From Club Promoter to Industry Consultant: Yemisi Mokuolu is an award-winning consultant and producer dedicated to empowering creatives and leveraging culture as a catalyst for social and economic benefit. Through her company, Hatch Ideas, she provides business support and specialises in advising governments and organisations on frameworks and systems for the creative and cultural industries – working in the UK with the likes of the Barbican, British Library and Tate Galleries and around the world for the British Council, the European Union (Brussels), Goethe (Munich) and l'Institut français (Paris). Starting her career in 2002 as an Afro drum ‘n’ bass club promoter, Yemisi continues to produce events and public art. She is co-founder of Ghana’s “Asa Baako – One Dance” festival and Nigeria’s “Five Cowries” arts education initiative, supporting emerging artists. Yemisi also serves as Chair of Worthing Theatres & Museums.

Info: As a marketing professional, my work has spanned B2B, B2C and Charity sectors, in-house marketing and agency-side marketing over 20+ years. I'm a CIM Chartered Marketer, trained in digital and traditional marketing, PR, copywriting, social media marketing and search engine optimisation (SEO). I love musicals, dancing and horse riding. I'm also a proud and passionate mother of three.
I'm a regular event speaker on marketing topics and have spoken at the Enterprise Nation Food Exchange, Startup London, the WordPress conference WordCamp London, at Princes Trust Brighton and Hampshire locations, Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce and Brighton SEO amongst other events like the Natwest Accelerator programme. I've been featured in national newspapers, various podcasts, on BBC Radio Sussex, Radio Reverb and been an expert guest on the LBC Radio Clive Bull Business Show.
Info: Network with local organisations including Worthing Digital, led by Mark Ford. Mark is the founder of WorthingDigital, a grassroots community for digital professionals in the Worthing area. Since launching the group in 2012, he has brought together designers, developers, and technologists through talks, socials, and networking events. Mark is passionate about creating spaces where local digital talent can connect, share ideas, and support each other. Alongside WorthingDigital, he works in digital delivery for government, helping to build services that provide real public value.
