Gardening for Wellbeing Taster Day for Professionals

Here at the RHS our aims are to inspire, inform, involve and improve our communities’ quality of life and our environment through gardening, being in and working in nature.

Through our Wellbeing project we provide non-clinical support for those who want to improve their wellbeing by gardening and connecting with nature. We work with community groups and individuals (via social prescribing).

The taster session is an opportunity for link workers & professionals such as Community Connectors, health care providers and green space workers who want to set up their own project or are interested in referring, to experience a wellbeing session first-hand with Therapeutic Gardener, Ozichi Brewster. The session is an opportunity to learn more about how green social prescribing/wellbeing sessions are set up and facilitated at Bridgewater.

Please note the following:

• The session will involve outdoor activity such as gardening and walking. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear that you don't mind getting muddy.
• Lunch can be bought in the Bridgewater cafe or you are welcome to bring a packed lunch with you.
