SpeakEasy is the Worcestershire LitFest & Fringe's monthly spoken word and poetry event, Hosted by Suz Winspear, a former Worcestershire Poet Laureate.
SpeakEasy is held on the second Thursday of every month, we alternate between live events at Boston Tea Party and online (Zoom).
Join us to share words and music in a safe and supportive environment, WLFF provides a home for poetry, prose and anything that fits somewhere in between.

DOMINIC BERRY:
For over 10 years, Dominic Berry has been writing poems for adults and for children.

2020 Saboteur award for Best Spoken Word Artist.
2017 winner of Saboteur’s Best Spoken Word Artist award,
2017 Glastonbury Festival Poet in Residence
Dominic was rebooked for Glastonbury in 2022 and 2024!
His latest book 'How Can I Be Now? Selected Poems' – Published by Flapjack Press, is a ‘best of’ compilation, including poems written between 1998 and 2024.
Dominic toured this book between Dec and May. We know he came to Worcester 3 times during this period. We're delighted to welcome him back to the city, as a Feature at SpeakEasy on August 14th!

*Worcestershire LitFest & Fringe have been running for 15 years, SpeakEasy was established from a former event and rebranded in 2014, since then we had a monthly Headliner, poets from UK and beyond.
During the pandemic the world moved online and we dropped our Feature Slot. Once we returned to live performance in 2021, we wanted our events to be FREE at point of entry and made the difficult decision to not use Headliners.
We usually feature someone during our Festival week (June) and have had the privilege of hosting a Feature from time to time in the past few years. We are delighted to welcome Dominic Berry!
