Just a mile outside the city centre in Worcester is Diglis Island, a haven of peace and tranquillity, beautiful wildflowers, atmospheric Victorian canal buildings and structures and amazing views of the cathedral.
Come and join us on Diglis Island for a 90-minute session where you can bring a picnic to eat and children can take part in a variety of activities.
Children can enjoy some self-led activities such as:
Play Waterside Bingo
Design a protest poster based on the exhibition in the Workshop
Build a bridge
Knot tying
Roses and Castles colouring activities
Bird spotting
Mini beast hunting
Draughts, Snakes and Ladders & Noughts and Crosses
Hook-a-duck
Bring your own picnic to enjoy whilst you're on the Island.
Hot and cold drinks are available to purchase as well as ice-creams.
Tickets cost £5 per child taking part in the activities and adults go free (with the paying child). Due to limited space on the Island, up to 2 free adults per booking.
All activities are self-led. All children taking part in the activity must have a place booked and children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Please note that this does not include a visit to the fish pass or viewing gallery.
