The Dance Party continues on Sunday, August 24th at 5:00 PM with Philadelphia-based April Mae & the June Bugs, who bring a high-energy blend of Lindy Hop, Swing, Boogie Woogie, and Rockabilly - for your dancing pleasure.
In tribute to former WCUW Oldies DJ Milton Cordiero (1943–2022).

Touring from Philadelphia in their award-winning eco-tour bus, The Boogie Bus — so named for the proclamation on her destination plate: “It’s All About the Boogie!” — this candy-apple red and banana-cream beauty rolls with 1930s charm.
Performing on traditional — and not-so-traditional — homemade instruments that invoke the spirit of New Orleans early jazz and skiffle music. Serving up deep vintage vibes is their specialty!

• April Mae — lead vocalist, washboard percussion, kazoozaphone scatting, tap-dance percussion
• Catfish Dave — stringed multi-instrumentalist: cigar-box guitar, mandolin, banjo, acoustic guitar, vocals
• Tony Mascara — cocktail drum-kit percussion, upright bass, vocal harmonies
