Join us at beautiful River Island Art Park in downtown Woonsocket for Week 5 of the Levitt AMP Woonsocket Music Series! July 18 features Afro-Andean Funk with support from Eastern Medicine Singers and is MC’ed by Marlon Carey.
This night is packed with energy, culture, and celebration—it’s Family Night, Vintage Levitt Night, and the official halfway point of the 2025 Levitt AMP Woonsocket season! We’re thrilled to welcome the Levitt Foundation to the park, so let’s show them the heart of Woonsocket.
Bring your own drum for a community drum circle led by Daryl "Black Eagle" Jamieson after the Eastern Medicine Singers’ performance!
Families from the SLI summer program (run by CCF and funded by the United Way) will join us after spending the afternoon learning traditional Peruvian dance and music with Afro-Andean Funk.
Rock your vintage Levitt t-shirt to show off your AMP pride!
The first 150 kids in the park will receive free Levitt sunglasses!
The Levitt AMP Woonsocket Music Series is FREE and open to the public. Come ready to eat, dance, and have a great time! Bring a friend and something to sit on.

ABOUT AFRO-ANDEAN FUNK
Two-time Latin Grammy-nominated Afro-Andean Funk is a groundbreaking band led by Peruvian singer Araceli Poma and American producer/bassist Matt Geraghty. Their genre-blending sound fuses Afro-Andean roots, funk, and world music, with powerful themes of social justice, indigenous culture, and shamanic tradition. Through their music, they amplify the Quechua language and bring people together across borders and identities.
ABOUT EASTERN MEDICINE SINGERS
Eastern Medicine Singers are an intertribal drum group from Rhode Island and Massachusetts, preserving Eastern Woodlands Native culture through music and language. Singing in the rare Massachusett dialect of the Algonquin language, their powerful performances combine traditional powwow rhythms with rock and roll spirit. Led by Pocasset Wampanoag Daryl “Black Eagle” Jamieson, they’ll close with a community drum circle you won’t want to miss.
