Introducing our *new program* THRIVE – A 6-week Therapeutic Horticulture & Lifestyle Medicine Program
I have recently finished the last requirements for a Fellowship in Lifestyle Medicine and am wanting to share this amazing knowledge to support your mood and THRIVing.
What if growing a garden could help you grow your health and wellbeing too?
This 6-week group program combines lifestyle medicine with therapeutic horticulture to support your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Together, we will learn how to create and care for an edible garden while exploring how gardening can act as a living metaphor for nurturing ourselves.
Each week blends:
🌿 Psychoeducation – Learn about the pillars of lifestyle medicine (nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, social connection, and substance reduction) for physical and emotional wellbeing
🌿 Garden skills – Hands-on, practical guidance in establishing and tending an edible garden
🌿 Reflection – Using gardening metaphors to explore self-care, goal setting, and resilience
As we nurture our gardens, we’ll reflect on how to become gardeners of our own wellbeing—planting the seeds of healthy habits, creating environments where we can flourish, and tending to ourselves with the same care we give our plants.
Outcomes:
Practical skills to start and maintain an edible garden.
An embodied understanding of the six pillars of lifestyle medicine and a deeper understanding of how lifestyle choices affect mood and health.
Reflective tools for stress management, goal setting, and self-care.
A supportive group experience grounded in nature and connection
This group is designed for anyone curious about growing food and wanting to feel more grounded, connected, and empowered in their wellbeing journey. No gardening experience is necessary—just a willingness to get your hands in the soil and explore what it means to truly thrive.
