JUNIOR SCHOOL BOOK WEEK PARADE

BOOK WEEK ADVENTURE | During Week 6 - Monday 18 to Friday the 22 August, our Junior School library will be hosting a cornucopia of activities to celebrate the theme: Book an adventure.

The library will have maps and globes pointing to journeys in faraway lands. Students will be invited to test their knowledge of book settings and geography (Where in the World book contest), use their estimation skills to count eggs (Counting the Dragon Eggs in a Jar), explore their creativity through stories (Making Zines: Mini Graphic Novels) and grow their construction capabilities to make Medieval Towers for Rapunzel to call home.

We will also invite our students in Years 3 to 6 to enter a Tiny Tale writing competition and our Prep to Year 2 students will help us to create a mosaic of new book character drawings.

One of the many highlights of this week is our Book Week Parade and this year we will enjoy twice the fun with two parades on Tuesday 19 August in the New Life Church:

8.30am - 9.00am: Prep to Year 3 Parade

9:10am - 9:40am: Year 4 to Year 6 Parade
