Melody Graves and the Hokum Redemption (MGHR) deliver a hot and vibrant take on early jazz and blues, fusing traditional sounds with a fresh, dynamic energy. Featuring two powerhouse vocalists and a smoking six-piece band, MGHR brings the spirit of juke joints, dance halls, and classic New Orleans jazz to life.
Formed in 2018 and led by vocalist and washboard percussionist Paula Hackney (a.k.a. Melody Graves), the band has captivated audiences at festivals and club shows alike.
With a lineup of seasoned musicians and rising jazz talents, MGHR is redefining vintage swing with style, soul, and infectious rhythm.
