To coincide with the launch of a bespoke range of Highland Stoneware for Ad Gefrin – the Cheviot Range, painted by Tracey and Dorell – we are honoured to host a morning talk by the visionary behind this sought-after handmade stoneware from the Scottish Highlands.

David Grant MBE, MA, (RCA) is a renowned artist and craftsman, widely recognised for his pioneering work in ceramic design and glazing techniques. As the founder of Highland Stoneware, he has played a vital role in promoting and preserving the tradition and his expertise spans multiple disciplines. He is described as a designer, decorator, potter, chemist, engineer, salesman, educator, and visionary by his friends, family and staff.

With decades of experience, David’s work is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike. His passion for his craft and dedication to quality have established Highland Stoneware as a leading name in the industry

David will share his journey, the development of his business, his inspirations, and his deep love for stoneware pottery. You’ll also have the opportunity to view and purchase exclusive one-off pieces, with David available to personally sign any purchased item.
