Women's Intuitive and Interpretive Movement Class

Move your body, release the blocks, free your energy, tap into you! No dance, yoga or movement experience is needed. If you have a body and want to release blockages and move your energy in a more intuitive way this class may be for you. Class will begin with stretching and a rooting into the body. While we stretch we will introduce ourselves and chat. I will then help you tune into your body with a series of simple movements we will do and practice together, building on these movements and phrases with modifications for all body types. This will be instructional with time to explore the movement on your own if you desire. Class will be accompanied by a variety of music styles to tune your body into the rhythm and vibration and allow the music into your body. When we connect into our physical bodies and move more authentically we go deeper into our soulful selves and shift and release energetic blockages. Class will end with a 10-15 minute open ecstatic dance/movement session and a savasana to allow the energy space to settle.

The why:
I would love to hold more small, women's ecstatic dance gatherings at Body by Design! It was suggested to me that I hold a couple of classes that offer movement suggestions and space and opportunity to try out different types of movements in a safe, supportive and nurturing space. I would be honored to hold space for you if you are called to this class. I am keeping it small, to 8 students, so be sure to register and commit to yourself soon!

Cost: $15 or your class card can be used. I accept cash (exact change is appreciated), check, Venmo or Credit Card (please be aware that refunds can not be made via credit card as it takes out double to process both transactions. Payment can be used as a class credit for a future class of the same amount). 24 hour notice of cancellation is required for this class.
