Grape Jam features Gary Versace on organ, Pete Smith on guitar and Matt Garrity on drums.
Rooted in improvisation and groove, the reputation of these world class musicians speaks for itself.
The trio has toured extensively and their debut record “Grape Jam” was recorded in 2013 at Applehead Studios in Woodstock, NY.
The addition of the amazing vocalist Veronica Nunn will surely add a whole new dimension to the highly spontaneous musical adventure that is Grape Jam!
Veronica Nunn, vocalist-songwriter, has shared stages with influential musicians, earning her the title of an authentic Jazz Diva from Bravo Channel. Her musical style, a blend of genres reminiscent of Nina Simone, Roberta Flack, Abbey Lincoln, and Ella Fitzgerald. Nunn's journey began in Harlem and Greenwich Village, where she sang alongside seasoned legendary veterans like Eddie Chamblee, Eddie Durham, Doc Cheatham and Ram Ramirez. Over three decades, she's been the featured vocalist on tours with Michael Franks. She has worked with and shared the stage with Chuck Loeb, Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, Astrud & João Gilberto, Oscar Neves, Sting and more, infusing her sound with a modern accessibility that resonates with new audiences. Her global journey includes performances across continents, and her solo albums, like "Standard Delivery" and "American Lullaby," have earned acclaim. Notably, she recorded a Piano Jazz episode with the late pianist Marian McPartland in 2008. Continuing her journey, Veronica released "The Art of Michael Franks" in 2010 and maintains her musical partnership with Michael on various duet recordings, including his last CD, "The Music In My Head" in 2018. She is currently producing and hosting Michael Frank's new podcast "The And of One" and recording a new soulfully, eclectic cross-genre album to be released in fall 2025.
BARNSTOCK is a monthly jazz series in Woodstock, NY. Run by drummer Matt Garrity, the space is set in the top floor studio of of a renovated 1911 barn. It's warm, intimate setting makes for the perfect listening room. Come hear some of the best musicians on the scene in the hippest house concert you'll ever go to, including Grammy winning artists!
