This is a workshop not a certification course. If you want a certification talk to Dean as there are additional skill and dive requirements.
The benefits of controlling your buoyancy usually has a great positive effect, an effect that will enhance your sense of enjoyment, and feeling of accomplishment.
This workshop is designed to increase your understanding of the factors that influence your buoyancy, and to aid you in using those means available to you as methods for adjusting both your buoyancy and trim in the water.
Who is this workshop for
• The certified diver looking to improve and/or fine-tune their buoyancy to become more comfortable in the underwater world.
Equipment required
• Participants need to provide all equipment for diving in a cold water environment.
Workshop prerequisites
• Open Water Scuba Diver, Junior Open Water Diver, or equivalent
What you can expect to discuss and/or execute
• Importance of good buoyancy control
• Perform a buoyancy check (adjust weight if needed)
• Things affecting buoyancy
• Hovering and swimming exercises
• Ascents and descents including safety stop skills
• Streamlining equipment and body
• Staying in a well trimmed position

This is a FREE workshop but there is a park entry fee to get into the quarry
