When it comes to stress and stress related illnesses, like burnout, we tend to think that we lack control. And, although in burnout things do get seriously out of control, there are some areas that still remain in our control.
I also suffered from burnout, which turned out to be more severe and challenging than I had expected. While looking back at my journey towards recovery, I realised that although it initially seemed there were no available options for burn-out prevention, I could have had control over various factors that might have influenced the prevention of burnout, or at least made it less severe.
In this interactive workshop, I will help you to:
- Understand what burn-out is and isn’t
- Gather awareness of the development of burnout and its symptoms
- Be aware of the alarm signals warning you of a potential burnout and identify some that are specific to you
- Explore Beliefs and Behaviours that put you at risk of burn-out
- Identify at least three items related to burnout prevention that are in your control
- Explore the shared responsibility and diminish the potential guilt associated
- Identify areas on which you have control
- Create a Self-Care Plan
- Listen to your body
What to expect?

- A blend of theoretic concepts and highly interactive exercises
