We're holding a free soft plastics recycling drop-off event at Ray Robinson Oval car park, Towradgi.
Soft plastics are flexible materials that can be easily scrunched into a ball.
Bring along your clean, dry and empty soft plastic packaging, including:
✅Plastic bags: clear and coloured
✅Biscuit and snack wrappers
✅Chip packets and other silver-lined snack wrappers
✅Fresh and frozen food wrappers / bags
✅Pasta bags, rice bags (both plastic and woven types)
✅Bread bags and cereal liners
✅Cling wrap, bubble wrap and snap lock zip bags
✅Document sleeves, mail satchels and carrier bags
✅Plastic pet food bags.
Please note that soft plastics do not include:
❌Rigid plastics that can go in your yellow lid bin, like biscuit and meat trays
❌Zippers from large dog food bags or string from stock feed bags
❌Compostable plastics - these cannot be recycled.
Entry to the car park is off Moray Road, Towradgi.
