A polymorphous artist. This unique fusion creates a musical style that blends rock, electro, rap and Malagasy traditions, delivering energetic, spellbinding live performances.
CLAUDIO RABE (FRA/MAD)
Claudio Rabe is a genre-defying sonic force, originally from Madagascar and now based between France and Réunion Island. His electrifying sound fuses traditional Malagasy rhythms with rock, funk, and electronic elements—delivering high-energy live performances that are both immersive and deeply rooted in culture.
Claudio surrounds himself with four talented Malagasy musicians and together they create an original musical style combining salegy groove, dancehall, rock guitar riffs and electro sounds.
Claudio’s explosive Australian debut at Woodford Folk Festival 24/25 marked a major turning point, quickly followed by a sold-out headline show at It’s Still a Secret in Brisbane. His latest EP, Mosary, is a powerful showcase of his ability to transform ancestral influences into modern, dancefloor-ready anthems.
Now signed to Yama-Nui Records, Claudio returns to Australia in 2025 for a national tour with stops at BIGSOUND, Festival of the Winds, and a run of high-impact shows along the east coast. His live sets are hypnotic and rhythm-forward—where traditional percussion collides with modern grooves in a celebration of movement, identity, and connection.
LUX TREVIS
Lux Trevis grew up in a musical family in Brazil playing and listening to samba and jazz. He started playing percussion when he was a baby and picked up the guitar at the age of 7. At the age of 13, he got into hip hop music production which helped him to expand his music creativity. Becoming a producer opened his mind to explore new sounds, which lead him to start playing flute, saxophone, keys, bass and drums. His act is a mixture of funk, jazz, samba, blues, reggae and soul all infused into hip hop music. He uses a loop station and a drum machine to get the beats going and records and improvises on top of it with his other instruments.
DECLAN KELLY
Music runs through Declan Kelly’s blood. It’s been a part of him since the very beginning. With an Irish father and a Maori mother, herself a talented musician, he was encouraged to learn the drums and guitar at a young age. He’s aligned himself with some of the greatest Australian musicians we’ve seen, plying his trade with The Beefs (with Alex Lloyd) and The Bondi Cigars, before releasing his debut album Tales From The Neighbourhood in 2005 with support from the late great Andy Glitre.
Velvet Pesu – Being Sky Mountain
Velvet Pesu is an Australian singer/songwriter and visual artist whose soulful, idiosyncratic vocal resonance defies genre, exuding raw spirit and innate rhythm.
