Here we come again for 2025!
August 16 will see us return to Firey Bird for our celebration of creativity once again. Crunch will be open for creatives from across media to be part of our open source arts event.
Keep an eye out for updates and more coming your way - this will be, as always, an all inclusive event to which all are invited. But for now, put the date in your diary - August 16th at Fiery Bird!
EVENT
As always Crunch will be open source and uncurated. You are welcome and encouraged to participate in whichever way you choose. We have a reasonable speech and health and safety policy however this notwithstanding - have at it.
Details of tickets will be coming soon. In the meantime, please get in touch with any and all creative ideas, or simply put the date in your diary to come and be part of this festival of arts and people!
PUBLICATION
This year we are also launching MAGAZINE, a publication and archive for the hugely eclectic and rich creativity we have encountered with Crunch.
We are open for submissions and participation with our inaugural issue. This is open to writers, artists, photographers, filmmakers, and anything else - just like Crunch it is open source and we want you to be part of it.
In particular we will be looking for things that highlight the creative culture in Surrey and specifically Woking. Please be forthcoming as we aim to support originality and new ideas!

OPEN CALL
Bands
We will be looking for bands, in particular from the local area, to take part in the event. This is the chance to be part of a large arts event with a professional level sound and lighting rig with dedicated engineers in the premier independent arts venue in Woking.
Our last event was lit with 9 on the main stage and more on the second. Bands/musicians will be selected to have a range of styles by Team Crunch and Fiery Bird - there will also be slots open on the second stage for artists who can plug in and play.
Poetry and spoken word.
The poetry stage at Crunch will be an open mic extravaganza. We are limited only by time - buying a guaranteed open mic ticket will ensure you a place on the day and after that it will be first come, first served.
Multimedia art.
Crunch is uncurated - although if you ask us we will help you with hanging and arrangement. Bring your work on the day and place as you wish
Get in touch to be part of the event - we want to see your demos, websites, vids, tik toks and whatever shows your work. You can also turn up on the day and take part.
The feeling last time was incredible with the participants featuring in a short film documentary and in the local paper, where we made the front page. We are excited to be doing even more with this years event and look forward to hearing from you!
We give special thanks to the amazing Elaine and Joe and all the volunteers at Fiery Bird for making htis opportunity possible! The event is non profit and all the proceeds go towards supporting the venue and event.
