Understanding and Treating Protein-Losing Nephropathy in Dogs and Cats
Protein-losing nephropathy (PLN) in dogs and cats encompasses a spectrum of glomerular diseases leading to significant protein loss through urine, often resulting in progressive renal dysfunction and systemic complications. Recent studies have enhanced our understanding of the disease and management of PLN in these species. This lecture will review recent advances in diagnostics, therapy, and understanding of prognosis in both species at a level acceptable for general practice veterinarians and veterinary specialists.
