Pole work, and why is it benficial for performance and rehabilitation?
Come join Rider Elite Physiotherapy at Fox Farm Equestrian to learn all about the benefits of pole work for both performance and rehabilitation in horses.
Have you been involved in a pole clinic or even just use poles yourself and think you are doing right for your horse but somewhat hoping for the best? You know pole work is good but not sure exactly what it is achieving? Maybe relying on these clinics but not sure why we use ground poles, raised poles, and certain variations of poles? Is the focus too much on the poles and maybe not necessarily a combination of this and you and horses going?
This talk and demo explains a bit more about why we use poles, what the focus is for exercises through walk trot and canter, and how this may vary to each individual horse.
Join Nikki, a Chartered Physiotherapist and Veterinary Physiotherapist (ACPAT) at Fox Farm Equestrian 9:30 -10:30am on the 23rd August to find out more about pole work. Nikki has a passion for performance, coming from an elite athletic level herself, and strives to help increase performance in horse and rider combinations. Nikki also works closely with Veterinarians, farriers and owners on many rehabilitation cases, varying from kissing spines surgery, ligament, tendon and muscular injuries.
Ranging from performance to rehabilitation pole work features in both programmes. Nikki is keen to help you explore the role of pole work in both elements and help you as the horse rider or owner to understand what you are achieving, and even some ideas for you and your horse. So, whether you're looking to enhance your horse's performance in competitions or aid in their rehabilitation process, pole work can be a valuable addition to your training routine. Don't miss out on this informative event!
