Then this one day course is for you. It includes a delicious farm to fork lunch from the FarmED Cafe before a leisurely and inspiring walk around Honeydale Farm.
We will cover topics including:
- The history of UK agriculture.
- How the landscape and food systems we see today have evolved.
- A seasonal look at the modern farming year - including livestock, arable and horticulture.
- Farming with nature.
- The challenges facing farmers and what can be done to help them.
- How farmers can help mitigate climate change and what you can do to support them.
- A jargon-busting exploration of words like regenerative, sustainable, conventional, organic, environmental schemes and carbon neutral.
- With a combination of indoor and outdoor sessions you’ll gain insights into the food we produce, the wildlife we share the land with and the roles that people play.
