Bringing together a mix of acoustic folk and electric rock, Raising Red revels in presenting audiences with their lush vocal harmonies and story-driven narratives. Billing themselves as “Wisconsin Roots Rock,” the band seeks to build a sonic map centered in folk music, country, and classic rock while skirting the backcountry of various other modern genres and approaches to songwriting. Named for the fiery red-haired daughter of the band's lead vocalists, Raising Red has collaborated with many musicians in the Midwest, as well as opening for more well-known acts like Cole Ritter and the Night Owls, Nelson, and The Bellamy Brothers.
