Author Event: Tammy Borden

Join us in July for a special author visit from Wisconsin author Tammy Borden. Tammy is the author of Waltraud: The True Story of Growing Up in Nazi Germany, which is based on her grandmother's stories that Tammy had listened to, recorded and researched her whole life. This novel tells the true story of a German girl, Waltraud, who set out on a dangerous path towards her own survival and that of her family. She becomes entangled in a daring plot to subvert the SS by keeping a treasonous secret. This is a story of heroism, heartache and hope told through the eyes of a German girl turned courageous young woman named Waltraud. Tammy Borden will be here on Wednesday, July 30 at 1:30 pm to talk to us about her writing and discuss this book.
