Our regular Club nights are held at The Chequers (also known as the Little Chequers) in Tholomas Drove.
Landlady Louise has kindly been hosting us here since May 2025, and we have full use of the events area which has plenty of room to fit us all in. But please don't turn up before 7pm!
Overflow parking on the Green is allowed - please park nose/tail in, as opposed to parallel to the road, so that more cars can fit.
If you've not been to one of our Club nights before, you're welcome to arrive from 7pm onwards, with most people arriving for around 7:30pm. We bang the gavel at 8pm for any notices, and then usually follow with a quiz or raffle afterwards. Don't forget to bring cash for the raffle which is kindly organised by Roger - contributions to the prizes are always welcome.
In August we usually meet at another venue for our summer BBQ. As this meeting is for members only, we do not share this location online.
November is our AGM, where new Committee members are elected and most importantly we vote on the charities we will be donating our fundraising to, and whether to hold the Road Run in the following year!
December is always a very social meeting, as we have a buffet and special edition of the raffle.
You don't have to own a vehicle to join us, but you will always be encouraged to bring what you have - especially in the summer - from two wheels to four wheels or more!
Finally - please double check you're heading to the correct venue on the night, as there is another Chequers just 9 miles away!
